While transferring media files is one of Silverstack’s main use cases, there are many other scenarios which require a quick access to clips and media data without copying first. Think of creating an ALE file for media on a travel drive, the playback of RAW clips in a camera test, or creating a report of media on a file server.
For all those times when copying isn’t the primary task, Silverstack offers the possibility to just add clips to the library instead of offloading them. Since Silverstack 5.2 this functionality is easier to use than ever: Choose „Add to Library“ from the „File“ menu or simply drag and drop your files onto Silverstack’s Clip Library or dock icon.
