We’re thrilled to announce the public release of Livegrade 7! This is not a typical update. It’s a ground-up overhaul of next-gen Livegrade that preserves everything DITs trust about Livegrade, while introducing a modernized foundation – unlocking new capabilities and significant enhancements for every user.
Don’t just take our word for it – here’s how American DIT Aaron Picot (IATSE local 600) put Livegrade 7 through its paces on set of upcoming HBO Max series Lanterns when managing an HDR/SDR workflow, handling multiple units and VFX-heavy scenes:
I like this version a lot more, redesigned from the ground up with video I/O and multi-view in mind. It took what Livegrade 6 could do and redesigned it in a way that can include so much more flexibility and strength in the workflow. […] I highly recommend upgrading to Livegrade 7. Learn it, embrace it, and share the benefits with other departments.”

What’s new in Livegrade 7
Standard routines feel smoother and more seamless
With a modernized video engine for faster multi-camera supervision and grading, flexible multi-view layouts that combine live feeds and references, linked grading nodes to easily adjust entire scenes or matching camera angles, dual-pipeline support that unifies HDR/SDR in a single look per camera, and much more.
Extended functionality packed in modules
Livegrade 7 introduces a new modular approach: powerful tools for complex or large-scale workflows are now available as optional extension modules. Opening up entirely new possibilities –like streaming, multi-camera playback, or VFX previews – collaboration with your DP and across departments goes even further, while you add only what your production truly needs.
Licensing that adapts to your workflow
Livegrade 7 makes licensing more flexible than ever: Extension modules can now be added with any subscription or temporary license purchase. You’re never locked into specific functionality – choose which modules are active and switch them anytime.
You can also extend a running standard license with specific modules for short durations, as needed. Also new: A 10-day temporary license is now available, perfect for short-term projects.
