Livegrade frontier edition: Get early access to new features for film and live productions

As Livegrade evolves, internal testing takes us far. But a feature’s true value is ultimately measured under real production conditions. That’s why we released a frontier edition of Livegrade, giving you the chance to put fully tested features to work in the real world and share your experience with us.

Grading & effects

Extend Livegrade’s node stack with additional functionalities:

Scene-referred grading nodes work in the language of the camera department: exposure in stops, white balance in Kelvin. Zone-based tonal control, advanced saturation, and gamut compression give direct control where live work needs it most, from black level and highlights in HDR to oversaturated stage lights. Every node is color-managed, so corrections stay predictable across CDL and ACES pipelines.

Simple Halation and Simple Grain bring film texture into the live image, something a LUT box cannot do. Skin Texture smooths skin tones where it matters most, on talent-facing and client monitors.
The OpenFX node opens the look pipeline to established plugins from post-production, drawing on a growing list of OpenFX plugins compatible with live video, so what everyone sees already carries more than a LUT. For example, you can use Video Village’s Scatter and Filmbox Pro plugins to bring diffusion and film emulation directly into the live pipeline. Frontier grading presets put ready-made node stacks into the look template menu, each built for a specific grading task, so the new nodes can be explored in the place they belong instead of by trial and error.

Immersive video workflow

Enable live-monitoring and review of stereo, 180° content:

The Immersive Video Filter turns the dual-fisheye signal of an immersive camera into an image you can judge on set, as a perspective view you steer by mouse or controller, or as an anaglyph view, with an overlay marking potential vertical disparity issues. The Immersive Video Local Stream output sends the graded stereo image to Apple Vision Pro, where the Livegrade Cinema app shows it around the viewer, so the take is judged from inside the scene while the setup can still be changed.

Benefit from automatic filters in virtual production:

Auto Matte and Depth Matte separate subject from background on every frame, by subject detection or estimated distance. Check foreground lighting against an LED wall, or preview a background replacement on set instead of in post. Auto Magnify follows a detected subject with smoothed pan and zoom for judging critical focus. Palette shows the image’s colors as a swatch bar, a compact continuity reference that needs far less screen space than a second image.

The frontier edition is available to anyone with an active Livegrade license (subscription or temporary) at no additional cost. Frontier features that are part of specific extension modules are available only to users who have purchased and activated the corresponding module.
