Smart and advanced control technology for live-grading from Fujifilm and Pomfort
Pomfort today announces the immediate availability of a new update of LiveGrade PRO that adds support for Fujifilm’s high quality LUT box IS-mini.
Munich, Germany, January 30, 2014 – Pomfort, a provider of professional software for data and color management on the film set, today releases a new update to its LiveGrade PRO solution that now allows the usage of the software in combination with Fujifilm’s high quality digital color adjustment device IS-mini. LiveGrade and LiveGrade PRO have been specifically designed to interactively adjust and preset looks on the liveimage on SDI signals coming from a wide range of digital film cameras.
The combination of LiveGrade PRO and Fujifilm IS-mini provides greater flexibility to DOPs, DITs, and other production technicians for their requirements in color management workflows and gives further possibilities to precisely visualize color-corrected live-images on set for review and to export CDL and LUT files to subsequent postproduction tools.
During the past years, Pomfort has demonstrated both its ambition and capacity to provide the most advanced, highest quality and yet most intuitive software for on-set live-grading. The integration with professional hardware of a technology leader like Fujifilm now provides valuable new options. Fujifilm’s IS-mini is a well-designed and robust hardware device that ensures a highly accurate viewing of the real-time live image due to its processed 26x26x26 color cubes.
“We look forward to working with Fujifilm to empower and delight our customers around the world”, says Patrick Renner, Head of Product Design at Pomfort. “The use of LiveGrade and LiveGrade PRO in the field has already shown that DOPs and DITs benefit from control over the color and looks of images in the entire production workflow. In combination with Fujifilm IS-mini, LiveGrade PRO enables an extremely high quality level for color management workflow and further leverages the opportunities of the IS-mini device, comments Patrick Renner.
“By combining Fujifilm’s groundbreaking color management and class-leading capability, with Pomfort’s simplified on-set workflows for media and color, this enhancement of the IS-mini gives even more power and control to technicians, editors, VFX providers, and directors,” says Manny Almeida, senior vice president and general manager, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Imaging and Electronic Imaging Divisions.
