Every Thing Will Be Fine
Every Thing Will Be Fine is directed by Wim Wenders and stars James Franco, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Rachel McAdams. While driving aimlessly after a quarrel with his girlfriend, a writer accidentally runs over and kills a child. The accident and its aftermath deeply traumatizes him. Over the next 12 years, he struggles to make sense of what happened and continue on with life. Florian Rettich who worked as Digital Image Supervisor on the set of “Every Thing Will Be Fine” shared some insight about using Silverstack on a 3D film: "When you shoot a 3D film, you have much more data to deal with. Since there are two “eyes” you also have double the amount of data. What we were able to do with Silverstack, was to check the data visually at random and we were also able to keep all the clips as long as possible on a hard disk. Of course you can’t store them forever because that would just take too much storage space. However, Silverstack allowed us to keep them as long as we could."

And so it goes
Oren Little, a realtor by trade, develops self-absorption, turning his back on his neighbors and shunning the notion of kindness to others, after his wife dies; part of his self-absorption is having no patience for children, not even his own now-adult son, from whom he has been estranged. He has a next-door neighbor, Leah, whose own husband has likewise died, never having had any children of her own, which leads her to throw her soul and her tears into reviving a singing career that had stagnated. Then, one day, Oren's estranged son suddenly leaves his father in charge of his own nine-year-old daughter Sarah, a granddaughter whom Oren never knew existed. When Oren's estranged son drops Sarah off at his home, needing his father to take care of her, neither Oren nor Leah, each of whom are lonely souls, have any reason to suspect that Sarah's involvement with their lives would enable them to heal their emotional wounds.
