At the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), DIT Christiaan Daniël Wouda talked with us about a feature he finds particularly helpful in Silverstack Lab: CDL Adjustments.
In a documentary production, Christiaan used CDL Adjustments to ensure look consistency throughout changing weather and lighting conditions. For the project, it was particularly important to have matching color and exposure across clips because the footage was stitched (meaning multiple shots were combined to create one final shot). Using Silverstack Lab, Christiaan checked every clip and made CDL adjustments wherever necessary. The CDLs were then exported to grading tools for further refinement.
