You have to take care of different film formats in one film production or you are regularly in charge of data management in variable film productions using different cameras. Now Silverstack SET automatically integrates the support for ARRI Alexa, RED, Canon / GoPro and additionally ProRes field recorders like Atomos Ninja / Samurai and AJA Kipro / Kipro Mini.

By using Silverstack SET you deal with all this different formats and footage the same way and you work with them side on side. Silverstack SET is used for TV- and cinema film productions as well as for commercials all over the world.

 

Offload and back up

Silverstack SET enables a quick and safe offload of supported camera or field recorder related storage cards. Silverstack SET gives you the opportunity to shorten backup times by leveraging the full bandwidth of your hardware with simultaneous multi-destination copies.

The software helps to detect duplicates and missing files during offload to ensure completeness. With Silverstack SET you know that all copies or backups are checksum verified against your source files. By copying your clips all technical metadata are automatically registered in Silverstack's clip library. The clip library is the heart of Silverstack - from here you manage and prepare all your clips and you keep track of your entire projects.

Silverstack SET tracks and logs all of your backed up material - at a glance you can see where your clips are located, even if the drives are not connected to your Mac.

 

Powerful clip organization

Control and organize all your clip information in one place.

Pass the organization of your clips onto Silverstack SET. When you import film clips from your storage cards, Silverstack SET instantly scans them to identify all relevant metadata and stores it into Silverstack's clip library. For later use your needed clips can be easily identified and you can clearly see in the library what they contain. This library is searchable so you just find the clips and their related metadata you need - either directly at the filmset or later in the postproduction

Silverstack SET comes with comprehensive statistic features which helps to document and report your entire work with Silverstack. You can export reports via PDF or CSV.

 

Inspect and check the quality

The Silverstack interface offers you an easy way to playback your source material natively with all format specific color filtering applied. Judge the quality of your clips with pixel accurate zoom, channel, focus and clipping inspectors as well as with tools for checking exposure and compression artefacts.

You can annotate, comment and add the results of the quality check directly to your film clips even if necessary with cue points. All your descriptive annotations are saved in the library. Your annotations also travel with the clip when it is exported to editorial in e.g. Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro X. No more risk of losing your clips and annotations.

 

Select and highlight your clips

Bring order into your extensive footage

Arrange your bins to make the clips easy to access and conform them to your way of working. Systematically group all clips to your preferences with ratings, flags, keywords, and color labels. This is quite useful when you want to highlight circled takes or unfeasible material. The related selections can be practically used as a guide for editing.

Support of professional flat gamma source material

If you are using flat gamma workflows like Technicolors Cinestyle profile or Sony's SLog curve, Silverstack SET lets you watch the clips in vivid colors without transcoding. When transferring clips to Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro X, Silverstack SET automatically applies the DSLR Log2Video filter or if so SLog filter to each clip, saving you a ton of work.
