Every Thing Will Be Fine is directed by Wim Wenders and stars James Franco, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Rachel McAdams.
While driving aimlessly after a quarrel with his girlfriend, a writer accidentally runs over and kills a child. The accident and its aftermath deeply traumatizes him. Over the next 12 years, he struggles to make sense of what happened and continue on with life.
Florian Rettich who worked as Digital Image Supervisor on the set of “Every Thing Will Be Fine” shared some insight about using Silverstack on a 3D film:
“When you shoot a 3D film, you have much more data to deal with. Since there are two “eyes” you also have double the amount of data.
What we were able to do with Silverstack, was to check the data visually at random and we were also able to keep all the clips as long as possible on a hard disk.
Of course you can’t store them forever because that would just take too much storage space. However, Silverstack allowed us to keep them as long as we could.”
